Bengals are an amazing breed of cat. They are extremely athletic and agile cats. Even as Adults Bengals will love to engage in play with you. They love to be up high, my one girl likes to hang out on the very top of our kitchen cupboards.
Bengals are hypoallergetic. This does not guarantee that people that have allergies will be able to own one but does greatly increase chances. I know that many people I know love cats but hate the idea of hair and constantly cleaning cat hair from their homes and clothing. Bengals do shed however it is very minimally. I can pet Luna for 5 minutes and have less than 10 hairs on my hands. (I think most people shed more)
My cattery name is fationed after the glimmer of their coat. When looking at a Bengal in natural sunlight, their coat will glimmer and shimmer in the sun. The fur is also incredibly soft.
This Breed also loves to be where the action is and form strong bonds with their people. They will follow you from room to room and sometimes meow after you when you leave. Some can be territorial over their space, I believe this comes down to temperament and breeding. If you have other cats or dogs make sure to ask about the temperament of both parents to see what they are like.
At Glimmer Bengals our cats and kittens are raised in our home with our two young children and a miniature rat terrier dog who has become the best of friends with more than one of our cats. We breed quality not quantity and our kittens are very well socialized and friendly when they leave for their new home.
